The White House silently dropped the nomination of Judge Ozerden to the Fifth Circuit in January who was opposed by a number of conservative groups.


By Senate process all nominees not confirmed in 2019 were returned to the President for re-nomination. In January 2020, the President renominated almost all of those unfinished nominees. Notably absent from the list of renominations was Judge Ozerden.
